4 Data Saving Apps for Android You Should Try Right Now

Disabling anonymous apps from consuming data has been a long cry for many and finally!!! the remedy is here, but those apps that aim at remedying the problem won't magically save all your data but using them will tremendously save you from a data headache. Goodbye to frequently disabling mobile data.
1. Glasswire:
Glasswire app doesn't disable apps from using mobile data but lets you view how much apps consume, so it will be clear which apps to keep an eye on. Data usage can be viewed at reasonable time frames, starting from 5 min all the way up to 90 days.
The fun doesn't stop there, you get reminded once a limit has been reached, assuming it was initially set.
There is a Windows software besides this Android app, for those who love to see how much data their desktops consume. The app is free to use and I never encountered any ads.
2. Network master:
This one works more like Glasswire, it won't stop apps from using mobile data either. If all it does was tracking data usage, we wouldn't recommend it over Glasswire, but that is not all it has up on its sleeve, it can boost your internet speeds, let users view their network speeds and more. The app is free with advertising(ads) and can be annoying.
3. Datally:
This one is Google's own creation. On top of giving you data usage for apps, it lets you take control over which apps to use data with just one click. Once a data saver feature is turned on, all apps but essential ones are disabled from using data until data saver is turned off again.
N.B. While data saver is enabled, connecting other devices to your device's hotspot or sharing files using apps like SHAREit can become a hassle but turning data saver feature off always resolved the problem, and be sure to turn it on again. This app is free with no ads or in-app purchases.
4. DataEye:
What we need on our Smartphones is something that keeps chugging along and alerts us on our data usage, well! DataEye claims to be just that. It operates more like Datally, with an extra feature that works very well; When an app which was initially disabled to use data is opened you'll be prompted to either:
- enable it,
- continue with the app disabled or
- allow the app to use data for 10-min.
This is a nice feature for those who wanna limit their data usage and possibly their time on social media. This one is free with ads, but they are not overly annoying; the pro version can remove those ads and bump you with even more features but that's not a necessity, most of the time!
Conclusion:
If you need an app that just tracks data consumption, then Network Master and Glasswire app are best choices. We also have both Datally and DataEye for those who wanna take action on data consumption.
It really doesn't matter which one you choose, because they all work as advertised, just know your needs, and choose accordingly.
Don't forget to share this with everyone and remember that; The big difference starts with you and have a wonderful day.
