Every user must have a Google Account, but Why?
Most people buy their phones and never get it why they should have a Google Account. Well, it's about security and without that, you'll miss out.
Losing a device is painful, and even worse if someone can have access to your data. Lay your worries to rest because we come with a way to avoid those painful moments. So let's get started.
If your device is running the latest Android OS( Android 5.0 Lollipop or above) you are part of the mix. Even those on earlier versions of Android( Android 4.4 KitKat and below), we'll include some Info on how to safe guard yourself from prevailing times.
The introduction of Android 5.0 came to the game with a security feature that blocks thieves from accessing your data and your device, even if the device is factory reset. You might be locked out of your device too, and that is if you don't know your Google Account; so keep reading along, you'll find a solution.
Before explaining what goes on to Android 5.0 devices and above, those of you who are on Android 4.4 or below the best bet is to have a strong password on your devices. The factory reset won't lock people from accessing the device but at least they won't lay their eyes on your data and that's a nice touch. Okay, now let's talk about devices running Android Lollipop or above.
What happens is; After a factory reset, the device will need a Google account that was synced to it so it can boot up, without that, whoever is trying use the device is locked out forever and ever. But some smart people have a way of getting around that, but not everyone can, so your device is more secure.
To keep safe, make sure your device is synced to a Google account that you know both it's email and password. In case your device gets stolen, no one will access the data or the device, frankly I like it. Some thieves are smart enough to bypass that security feature as I have mentioned they can, otherwise everything is under control.
Not only Android users are part of this, but also are IOS users too. In fact Apple have implemented this feature long time ago, Google was playing catch by including this feature on Android. Make sure you remember your Google Account and IOS users, never forget your iCloud Account.
And yah, that's it. Google planned to focus heavily on security, so later versions of Android are saver than earlier ones, and by each upgrade thieves are laid to rest. All these great services come for free, but premium users will have to tip in some few bucks.
