Grab either photos or videos from WhatsApp Status

With the introduction of Status to WhatsApp Messenger as SnapChat has done with Stories, people can now share stories of their life with WhatsApp, either photos or videos not longer than 30 seconds. Some stories are pretty interesting and the need to get those videos or photos increase by every upcoming day.

So let your worries to sleep, cause I'm just going to walk you through how to grab either photos or videos from the status.

Okay, folks let us start with Photos:
To grab a photo is as simple as taking a screenshot but a cool one though!
Before doing anything like taking a screenshot and suddenly thinking, ah! It's really simple, there are some visual tweaks to do first.
1. If the image of the Status looks great in a landscape mode, rotate your phone to suit your view.
2. If it looks vivid with your brightness low or high then adjust your device's brightness in accordance with your preference.

These two things I cleared out was for the benefit of the doubt; you might get poor images and then your friends who are viewing the same status photo get a better one! And then think you need to get a better device! Of which it's not the case!
When the brightness and the screen rotation mode are all ready for that magic, tap and hold on the photo until all those captions, contact name and information are out of place then take the screenshot. What you see is what you get!

Now that we are done with photos, let us dive straight into Videos:
Okay, here it is not straightforward as we have experienced with photos.
There isn't a built-in feature that came with our devices for recording those videos,t we will opt for screen recording apps instead. Those apps will be recording almost everything that is on the screen so editing will be required to get better video results. The editing part won't be complex so long as you go with a good recording app and most are good for editing too. Here are a few of those, browse for more in PlayStore, Apkpure or in other sites, in case these selected apps don't work for you.

The requirement for the following apps is you should be using a device with Android 5.0 (Lollipop) or above. To view the Android version of your device, go to settings, then about phone.

1. DU Recorder – Screen Recorder & Video Editor [8.39 MB]
This stands at the top of the list for one or more reasons, firstly because it has many features other than screen recording, it is useful for video editing which is capable of trimming and cropping for a nice video result, secondly, it can also be used to take screenshots and also edit then thereafter.

2. Screen Recorder APK [3.7 MB]
This is a minimalist app, it does the basics. With this, you can record whatever on the screen and trim videos later. And there is a warning at first start-up you should be in alert for.

3. Mobizen Screen Recorder - Record, Capture, Edit [26 MB] It also record and capture what's on the screen and you can edit those later. As the two recording apps don't record the best video quality, Mobizen is better in this department.

Basically, you can use any of the following Screen recording apps to do the task. Or you can use a few of them and decide on which one works fine for you.

Hope this was beneficial, so don't forget to share with a friend and also subscribe for new posts. Have a wonderful day.
