Windows Apps that will change the way you browse through your computer

Even though smartphones are walking their way up the ladder, PCs are a piece of tech that don't seem to die anyway. Editing photos, videos, music and doing more intensive tasks always find their way to bring us back to PCs. So, PCs still have their place in our life. Then following are Windows apps that will change the way you browse through your computer.

1. Films & TV
Films & TV is a basic video app from Microsoft. With this you'll be able to create a nice looking collection by adding folders to an app, also those folders can be removed if need be. Picture-in-picture improves more on multitasking. Android Oreo, Apple TV are a few of those who brought picture-in-picture to consumers and Microsoft has officially caught up. This feature is useful to people who like to simultaneously watch videos while doing something different. It’s only for those on Windows 10 to try it out though, ouch!

VLC Media Player is an open source media app form VideoLAN community. It does pretty much everything; it supports most of the video and music formats, can record videos and can also be used as a PC Screen Recorder too. Even though there is no picture-in-picture functionality here, it’s a must have app. Don't take my word for it, give it a try.

Chrome and Firefox are those web browsers one should try right now! you need to make sure your internet conncetion is fine  before the install, or hop over here to get the portable apps for Chrome and FireFox.

For better experience, sign in with your Google Account in Chrome, and Firefox account in Firefox, your bookmarks and saved data will ship with you, There is a Guest mode in Chrome, so you enjoy Google services even when on other people's computers.

It doesn't matter which one you choose because they work a hell lot better than other apps (On my experience). They are modern browsers, so they handle almost every task thrown at them with more precision. Both apps are fairly easy to use, you'll definitely find your way around.

4.  Internet Download Manager and Extreme Download Manager:
It's both funny and painful to know people still wait hours for downloads to complete. Those long waits are over now since this will change your whole internet experience, so be sure to sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride.

Internet Download Manager (IDM) app is a downloading manager from Tonec Inc. It supports most of the file formats and download speeds are boosted about 5 times, which is gigantic if you think about it. IDM also has support for pausing and resuming downloads, and not only that, files can be instantly downloaded from URL also. Even though it’s not free, the first time users can enjoy a free 30-day trial.

If paying for an app or getting involved in trials aren't your suites, then Xtreme Download Manager (XDM) is an Open Source app and should defimetely be your next option. XDM slightly different from IDM, but most of the features are similar; the support for multiple file formats, the increased download speeds and also downloading directly from URLs are a few of the similarities. It’s available on Mac and Linux Desktops also.

4. SHAREit
Cables aren't on ourselves and sometimes can take long for divices to show up on our PCs, so SHAREit which is peer-to-peer sharing app, helps to transfer files wirelessly with greater speeds. Even though it gained its fame on Apple and Android device, it also available for Windows OS too. The app on PC is fairly difficult to use at first, but after a few turns, every step will be extremely smooth.

5. WordWeb
A dictionary is a tool worth having, in particular an offline dictionary is better choice if we are not always connected to the internet. WordWeb is an offline dictionary which has two variants, an free version and a pro version. The free version give basic words definitions and their pronunciations, and to hear them spelt press the music icon while the pro variant provides even more. There is a shortcut for opening the app, so the app is always few clicks away if ever needed.

I hope you learned a thing or two, share with a friend or a family member. If there are any great apps I left out, tell me about them in the comments section, I would very much appreciate that. And as always, thank you very much; don’t forget to Subscribe. Have a wonderful day.

Remember! The big change starts with you!
